Who: Wisconsin Assistive Technology Regional Network (WATRN)
What: FREE Regional meetings around the state of Wisconsin bringing together school professionals interested in topics, collaboration and learning about Assistive Technology (AT) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
Winter Topic:
How has creating and providing accessible educational material changed for you during COVID? We will be discussing: Accessibility Guidelines and Best Practices for Creating Accessible Materials. During this meeting, we will highlight some of the resources available around our state and throughout the US to help you educate and support staff in your district to create accessible learning. A large portion of this meeting will be devoted to discussion and networking so that we can share what is working in other districts. This important topic is relevant to both in-person and virtual learning, and has come to the forefront of AT services in the last year!
When: Thursday, March 18th, 2021 | 4:30-6:00
Vendor: Join us from 3:30-4:30 to learn more about LessonPix (https://lessonpix.com/) with the one and only Beth Poss! She will demonstrate how to make custom visual materials that are both printable and interactive for both in-person and virtual learning. This tool is simple to use and very affordable and useful to all professionals! Even if you already own LessonPix, you’ll want to come and see what’s new! You will not want to miss the first hour of our WATRN meeting!
Where: Virtual meeting –> Link will be sent to individuals who register 1 day before the meeting.

If you work outside of Wisconsin you will be placed on a waiting list and emailed with a link to the meeting if openings exist 24 hours before the scheduled meeting time.
